History
The Comedy Hall of Fame was established in 2004 for “the preservation and advancement of comedy”. With our first interview of Art Buchwald in 2006, we began The Comedy Hall of Fame Archives. The Archives have grown into the world's most comprehensive oral history of comedy.
In 2007 we established the Comedy Hall of Fame Foundation to implement and fund educational initiatives in the classroom. Since then, the Foundation has used comedy to teach over 300 students accredited programs.
In 2011, the Foundation held its first museum event: A Night with Stiller & Meara at The Museum of the Moving Image in NYC.
