Classes

The Comedy Hall of Fame Foundation administrates and raises funding for the Comedy Hall of Fame's educational program: Laugh It Out.

The LAUGH IT OUT staff works with school faculty and professional actors to teach improvisation to NYC public high school students in classes structured around writing and performance. The classes run for a semester or a full year and participating students earn high school credit. As part of the program, professional comedians periodically visit the classroom to speak with students. These "mentor" visits are great motivators for the students and can create impressions that can last a lifetime, not only with students but also with guests.

If you are a professional comedian or comedic writer interested in sharing your story with improvisation students, consider volunteering. If you can spare an hour to visit a Laugh It Out class in a NYC high school, please email: laughitout@comedyhalloffame.com. Who knows the life you change could be your own!
